Colon Cancer

Colorectal cancer or large bowel cancer or colon cancer third most known cancer, name it anything it has tolled million deaths worldwide per year. The cancerous growth may be in colon, rectum or appendix. The majority of the time, the diagnosis of localized colon cancer is through  colonoscopy. Therapy is usually through surgery, which in many cases is followed by chemotherapy.

What are the causes of colon cancer?

  • Mushroom shaped growth called adenomatous polyps may develop into cancer over times.

  • High intake of fat foods, a family history, the presence of polyps in large intestine will increase the risk of this cancer.

Colorectal cancer is not contagious (a person cannot catch the disease from a cancer patient). Some people are more likely to develop colorectal cancer than others.

Symptoms of Colon Cancer

Prime symptoms are:
